The Bucharest office complex Petrom City is not just any building – it is the headquarters of the largest petroleum group in Romania and a ‘working city’ for more than 2,500 people. Its unusual structures, designed by AJF Architekten, reflect the three corporate identities of communication, transparency, and environmental compatibility – from the outside due to its striking glass façades, and inside due to its ground-breaking use of energy and intelligent division of space.

When it came to the soffit construction, the architects brought Knauf Ceiling Solutions with AQUAPANEL® Technology Inside into play – a system that has a high level of weather resistance and allows great freedom of design. Due to its inorganic material, it is completely water-proof and does not deteriorate, even when exposed to harsh conditions. At the same time the cement boards offer great robustness and stability, while remaining easy to handle and fast to install. As a result, the soffits were installed quickly, saving valuable time – and a spectacular building project was completed successfully.
