We would like to inform you about the new REACH Regulation that will come into effect on August 8th, 2023. The Regulation requires you to have a training for safe use of diisocyanates before using any product containing Diisocyanantes commercially or industrially.

Our product AQUAPANEL® Joint Adhesive (PU) contains more than 0.1% monomeric diisocyanates and falls under this category. We understand that this new regulation may cause some inconvenience, but we want to assure you that the safety of our customers is our first priority.

To comply with the new Regulation, we are providing access to training portals and resources to ensure that you are properly trained in the handling of these substances. We believe that this training will not only help you comply with the new Regulation but also provide valuable knowledge and skills in the safe handling of diisocyanates.

The new REACH regulation requires that workers handling diisocyanates complete trainings depending on their uses. The regulation defines 3 level of trainings, Basic Training (Level I), Intermediate Training (Level II) and Advanced Training (Level III). The content of the trainings has been developed by experts in the field of EHS. 

Hint: If you choose the general training only, please be aware that the intermediate and advanced training mentioned in the REACH restriction Annex XVII entry 74 is not included. All other application sectors include the general training already and there is no need to choose the general training additionally.

All joints should be filled with AQUAPANEL® Joint Filler & Skim Coating – white, and then embed AQUAPANEL® Tape (10 cm) centred over all joints. Apply a thin layer of AQUAPANEL® Joint Filler & Skim Coating – white to cover the tape.

The joints between the walls, ceiling and floor require permanent elastic sealing in dry areas. Expansion joints should be at a minimum of 15 m intervals. In case of single-layer planking, fill the screw heads with AQUAPANEL® Joint Filler & Skim Coating – white.
